Can you believe it?! Many of the Cyber Monday deals got extended into today at midnight. That is the most epic thing I have heard so far in this sale season! This is the best time to grab those fall staple pieces that will last you for many years to come. And if you have a love for pearls, well this is a time to snag those too. Ya’ll loved my Instragram posts of these embellished jeans so I figured it was time to share my favorite pearl embellished jeans here on the blog that are in stock. And most are in some sort of a sale with a special discount code because these sales were extended! I was able to get Christmas gifts for the hubs and myself (from him of course, but I make it easier by purchasing it myself) at total steals and stock up on staples I have really been needing in my closet.

Enough about sales, pearl embellished jeans, and fall staple pieces.. how was your Thanksgiving?! Kyle and I really tried to focus on family this year. I took time away from the blog, and social media so please don’t hate me for not being all *Sale Happy* with you over that time. Family comes first, but I do love ya 😉 Who’s with me on being turkey’d out? I had my Mom’s Thanksgiving Wednesday, my cousin & my in-laws Thanksgiving Thursday (2 in one day), and my Grandma’s Thanksgiving Friday. Not to mention, our fridge is loaded with pies, stuffing, turkey, ham, and more. We’re getting creative with reinventing these dishes for dinner this week, haha. I’m sure you’re doing the same thing so if you have any great recipes send ’em this way!

Back to sale talk: Did you find any killer deals on Black Friday this year? or better yet, Cyber Monday?! << This one is still going on. I am all about CM if you can’t tell, and I wanted to leave you with not only my favorite Pearl Embellished Jeans, but also many Fall Staples that won’t break the bank and are still even more discounted than usual since most retailers extended the Cyber Monday sales through today.

Thanksgiving Off The Shoulder Dress

Yassss, it’s Thankgiving week and the big day of Feat & Family is tomorrow! In our case we’re doing my family Thanksgiving dinner today since my mother is working tomorrow. We do the Hubs’s Family Thanksgiving tomorrow which really works out well because we aren’t rushed on one day from one house to the next. This year, my older sister and I are “heading” things if you will for the menu and she thinks I am crazy with the amount of food I am bringing and planning. Has she never heard of leftovers?! I have had some people tell me this is their favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal. So lots of food it is, and I will share her telling me how crazy I am on Instastories later today which I promise will give you a total ab workout with lots of laughter. Not to mention she is the selfie queen and she is designing a whole tablescape at her house and having us eat very festively outside at the moved dinning room table. Yeah, she is that freaking epic and wants the full vibes of Thanksgiving to be felt. #bestsisterEVER

Total honesty here: I have set the oven on fire twice in my life. To be fair, I was a child when these incidents occurred. But cooking is still NOT my strong suit. I am preparing a 5-Cheese Mac & Cheese dish, with a Parmesan Corn and Zucchini casserole. The other sides/desserts I am brining are store bought so I won’t even act like I am Martha Stewart backing the world over here. I do have a really neat “Thanksgiving Pie” story on Instastories I’m sharing with you today on Instastories about an amazing pie company in Katy, Texas. Now I am rambling, but with all this food I know I can’t wear something very fitted or lots of layers.
The meat sweats is a real thing and too much pie makes my body temperature rise, haha ONLY JOKING!

But seriously, I always like something comfortable that can be worn, just like this off the shoulder dress, with a flat OTK boot, and has sleeves so no sweater needed at Thanksgiving. Between all the people in the house and the heater going (not to mention the red wine and Rumple mints shots happening) I don’t ever need a full winter outfit happening. Charming Charlie has this adorable off the shoulder dress with ruffled sleeves perfect for all your Thanksgiving Day parties. If you want more layers to battle the cooler temperatures and still be Fall Fashion envy you can most definitely pair with a faux fur vest, OTK boots, riding boots, or a your favorite duster and rock turkey day OOTD with the utmost confidence!

I would love to hear what you are planning to style up at your Thanksgiving this year. you can send me all the details in a comment below, I love, love seeing everyone’s turkey day styles!

Turning 28 & 8 Things To Know About Me

Turning 28 & 8 Things To Know About Me by Houston style blogger Gracefully SassyTurning 28 & 8 Things To Know About Me by Houston style blogger Gracefully SassyTurning 28 & 8 Things To Know About Me by Houston style blogger Gracefully SassyTurning 28 & 8 Things To Know About Me by Houston style blogger Gracefully SassyTurning 28 & 8 Things To Know About Me by Houston style blogger Gracefully SassyTurning 28 & 8 Things To Know About Me by Houston style blogger Gracefully Sassy

Well it’s official, I am that much closer to 30! lol, don’t roll your eyes.. I’m still not sure how I feel about turning 28. For now I am going to try and just be positive about turning 28. It came to mind that even though I chat with you twice a week on here, there are still many things I don’t think I have totally shared about myself. I wish I could say I’m sharing 28 things with you BUT to be totally honest, I don’t even know that many things about myself to share with you. I have found a few (8 to be exact) that I wanted to share with you about myself so we can get to know each other a little better. I mean, isn’t that what blogging is all about? Getting to know one another outside of the pretty little images we’re always posting on social media.

1. I love to sleep! I know that seems generic, but I for reals can’t function without minimum 9 hrs. of sleep and would really be more productive when awake if I got closer to 10.5 hrs.
2. PSA: I have a  larger butt, hips, and thighs for my body frame size. I know, SHOCKING right?! I’m 5’2 and under 115 lbs. and apparently that is considered “curvy” so *high five* to all my curvy babes, let’s own the extra sass God gave us!
3. Diet Coke is still my all time favorite beverage of all time. And this love in fact is what I got from my momma, haha!
4. I’m not basic in the sense that I love all things pumpkin. In Fact, I HATE all things pumpkin. It’s just not my jam. I hope this doesn’t make you love me any less 🙂
5. If for some reason all things beef, chicken, and turkey where taken from the world but we still have all things seafood I would never be a sad woman. This is the Cajun in me, all things white rice, grilled fish, and vegetables and my life is complete.
6. My dog (PoBoy Daniels) is my child, and I am a dog mom to the fullest! I don’t think we can be friends if you don’t your animals are your children.
**PoBoy will be featured much more than previously here on the blog. You might fall in love to watch your step.**
7. If the handsome hubs didn’t hate it, I would keep our Christmas decorations up year round all while living in Christmas pjs! We went to see the Houston Zoo Lights this weekend for my birthday because Christmas lights are ultimate birthday magic for me. Told you, I am a total Christmas nerd.
8. TV Shows I am totally crushing on right now.. This Is Us / Shameless / Empire . I get all the feels from This Is Us, all the belly ache laughs from Shameless, and ULTIMATE drama and ridiculousness from Empire.

Geeze, writing just 8 things is difficult. I really don’t know how to tell you about myself. I’m just a hot mess express and wouldn’t change it for the world lol. Thank you for all the kind birthday wishes y’all sent out over the weekend, they were all so wonderful and made turning 28 much easier!
I am having 2 other blog post this week, Wednesday, and Black Friday so be sure to check them out. They will NOT disappoint!

Fall Wedding Guest Dress Under $100

Wedding Guest Dress – Under $70

‘Tis the season for Holidays, Parties, Gift Giving, and WEDDDINGS! I am sure your calendar is filling up like crazy for the next month or two. I always pull out my planner when asked in passing if I can make it to a last minute party invitation, because more than likely we’re attending a wedding, family function, or I have something blog related already on the schedule. Wedding season is honestly something fun for us. It’s like a date night with friends celebrating all things love! It also gives me a reason to pull out the red bottoms, and let me just tell you that rarely happens haha.

I found that finding the right wedding guest dress for fall/winter wedding season can be a bit difficult. Most of us have an upscale cocktail dress that we wear for most of our wedding related events, and that is perfect except when those cooler days arrive. Having a not so over the top floor length gown will fit the wedding and the season oh so perfectly! This mauve gown adds a little sass with it’s ruffle detail and middle slit which is something I absolutely have to have in a wedding guest dress. Since it’s one piece that makes up my whole look, I have to have sass somewhere. This color is super transitional for spring, and even summer. I use to steer clear of mauve, but it has been super complimenting lately which must be the one of many things that has been coming with old age (shhhhh I turn 28 this week and I am still not ready for it), and at least it’s a positive one! My BEST advice for getting a wedding guest dress that you can wear to multiple occasions, and seasons is a floor length dress that is neutral in color with an element of sass.

Fall Wedding Guest Dresses all Under $100

And I couldn’t help it, 2 Jumpsuits also Under $100

And as I’m sure we all are, being budget conscious.. don’t spend over $100 for these dresses. Typically they don’t get enough use to constitute spending over that. Now if you just want to go and have a splurge moment then do you babe, this is just something I try to stick to since this is usually my outcome with dresses like this beauty.

Q&A On All Things SHEIN Fashion

November 9, 2017

Q&A On All Things SHEIN Fashion by Houston Fashion Blogger Gracefully Sassy

You asked and now it’s LIVE, all things Shein fashion! After taking the poll a few weeks ago many of you said you have questions or have never heard of an online store I purchase from frequently called Shein. Simply put, Shein is an online store with all things trendy fashion and accessories at a FRACTION of the cost usual retailers sell the same items for. For example: this TopShop dupe I shared here last month. I completely understand your apprehension when purchasing from an online store in general because most of us want to try an item on before we purchase it, and in this case you can’t. But I will break down how to make that idea a foreign thought. Some may be iffy on purchasing from a company based out of China that will be importing your purchase here into the states. I’ll be the first to tell you that Shein’s customer service is nothing less than professional and helpful so no fear is needed! You’ll see more below on quality, fit, price point, and shipping. Again, if I haven’t covered any questions you might still have after reading this SheIn fashion Q&A, then please, please, please reach out to me and I will most definitely give you peace of mind.
*Side note: this blog post is in no way sponsored by Shein, just a helpful blog post all of you that have asked about*

Q&A On All Things SHEIN Fashion by Houston Fashion Blogger Gracefully SassyQ&A On All Things SHEIN Fashion by Houston Fashion Blogger Gracefully SassyQ&A On All Things SHEIN Fashion by Houston Fashion Blogger Gracefully SassyQ&A On All Things SHEIN Fashion by Houston Fashion Blogger Gracefully Sassy

SheIn Fashion – Quality

If you are someone who has already heard about Shein then you likely have had the concern about quality. Shein is like any other online clothing store, they give you full details on the fit, fabric, and model dimensions. ALSO, there are reviews on items from previous buyers. If you’re really on the fence about purchasing something be sure to scroll down and read the reviews. I have used this many times and it has been VERY helpful. And if you have seen a blogger feature an item you’re looking to purchase, don’t hesitate to reach out to her because 9 times out of 10 she will want to give you honest feedback on the item and if she recommends it.

SheIn Fashion – Price Point

Holiday Season is the perfect time to get all of your festive outfits from Shein as they will totally slay when it comes to keeping your wallet in tact. If I am to “fall in love” with an item at a well known department store I generally will click right over to Shein and see how I can save myself over $40 on the same item. I promise, it will look identical to the designer item you have fallen head over heels for. And if you don’t click over to look and see if they have something very similar you will kick yourself when you see your favorite influencer on Instagram strutting around in the same flawless piece at half the cost you paid for it. As a Fashion Blogger, I sink a lot of  $$$ into this sassy place of mine. I have to be a bargain hunter finding those trendy pieces I love under $100 for one stinking item. And I like to pass on the score I found with you lovelies because that’s what friends are for!

SheIn Fashion – Fit

Like I said earlier, Shein offers the model specs and all the information on the type of material and “fit” in their description section. I will say that I do study this area very well when purchasing a piece because this is where I learn the most if something will work for me or not. I have had issues with the one-piece swimsuits as I am petite with a short torso. Other than that, I haven’t had any issues with fit what so ever. Best advice for yourself is know your own measurements and how you would like the item you want to purchase to fit. I am willing to bet these two things will not steer you wrong when looking at the specs of a particular size on an item.

Last but not least, SHIPPING

Yes, Shein is based in China. The standard shipping does have a much longer transit time that other domestic orders you probably have purchased from in the past.

Just to break the shipping process down for you:  (this is VERY generalized so please don’t critisize it)
The item you ordered is packaged up for shipping, it then is booked with a UPS, DHL, ect.
That freight forwarder then books your order with an cargo airline carrier.
You cargo then clears China customs to come to be exported.
Your purchase ships.
It arrives 5-8 days later here in the states (most likely Cincinnati).
It then has to be cleared through US Customs, and picked up by a trucking service to then delivered to your door.

I try to plan when ordering from Shein. Usually I will place items in my cart over a couple of weeks time, and towards the end I make my final selections, and purchase the $12.99 expedited shipping. I have seen a usual transit time of 5-7 business days total. I HIGHLY recommend others doing this. I can totally rationalize that cost to receive my order in a less than a month’s time.

Wooooo this ShieIn fashion blog post is wordy! But I wanted to be sure I explained and answered the questions you all have asked. Again, if you still have questions on Shein fashion please send them over and I will be more than happy to answer them. Now, I get to totally dive into all things Christmas since tomorrow I will be headed to a huge Holiday market we have in Houston every called “The Nutcracker Market”. I’ll be sure to show you all the fun tomorrow on Instastories if you care to know what it’s all about 🙂
