Ooooooh can you feel the cold crisp air that will be upon us (fingers crossed) here soon in the next few months?! If you’re a fellow southern gal, specifically Houston Babes you will completely agree with me when I saw I AM READY FOR FALL. This heat is intense, and that’s putting it lightly. Just hang in there because we are almost done with the dreaded month of August. We will be sipping pumpkin spice everything, while be basic as ever before ya even know it 😉

These insanely gorgeous Dandelion Leather Company platinum metallic earrings will be joining me in all the basic activities I will be taking part in this fall. They are so luxe and LIGHTWEIGHT! I forget I am even wearing them until someone comes up to compliment me on them and ask for all the details on where they can get a pair of their own. Even better, September 1st, Alyssa will be debuting her fall line and a sneak peak… (leopard). Yeah, I marked my calendar to get mine, haha.

I have a bad havbit of flocking towards strictyly all black jumpsuits, but this baby screamed my name when out shopping one day. It has so much life in its stripes and colors. This is towards the end of my summer looks, and what better than a striped jumpsuit that you can easily transition into fall with a cute blazer?! This jumpsuit has sold out, and I would tell you about the ability you have to purchase it from my Poshmark account ( @skguidry ) but it sold so quickly. I wouldn’t let you down, I have linked other favorite striped jumpsuits for you above that are all under $100. These are great for pieces to wear now and later!

Hair Demands of Mr. Sassy with 18|8 Baybrook Passage

Today’s post is a little out of the ordinary. Kyle typically doesn’t grace the pages of my blog, but I felt it was time to fill y’all in on a little secret… He is high maintenance in the hair department just like your girl! Between coloring services, Keratin treatments, and his bi-weekly haircuts, he is not far behind my purple craziness. I can honestly say God blessed him with great hair. It just so happens to be on the thicker curly side which is neither of Kyle’s favorites.

When 18|8 Baybrook Passage reached out to me with the idea of possibly being Kyle’s new barber, he jumped for joy. He had been looking for an upscale men’s salon that could still service all the other hair treatments (besides a custom haircut) he does a few times a year. And let’s not forget.. they even have beard treatments to tame the mane! Ladies I know this is something we all mention to our men with beards from time to time “Tame the Mane, Love”. Gift Cards for Christmas to 18|8 coming right up! Kyle says his favorite part of the whole experience was the hot stone neck massage they apply before your custom curated haircut. Oh yesssss, this is true men’s pampering at its finest that’s even topped off with a cold glass of craft brew.

Polka Dot Top + GIVEAWAY

This month marks my first year of blogging, and I thought what better way to say THANK YOU for all your continued support than to do a few giveaways for you this month (scroll to the end of this post for all the entry information).

And I couldn’t just stop there! I had to share this too flipping cute polka dot top with you. Zara knew what they were dong with then designed this cute number and it’s currently under $10. If this isn’t what polka dot dreams are made of then I am not sure what is! Although online has only select sizes available I am find that the Zara stores still have many in stock and happened to be where I snagged mine from. This has become Kyle’s favorite casual date night look of mine. He says it’s fun and me. Haha, it’s very rare he actually likes some of my trendier looks. He is a tee shirt and jean shorts for my everyday look kind of hubs. No shame in his game, but I enjoy that he like this look.

Crop Tops can be a bit of an insecurity for me because I have gained weight. The gym is like a long lost friend right now, fast food is my bae, and margaritas (not skinny) are my shameful sidepiece. LOL! I am not proud of current choices in food and excise, but I am Trying to make positive changes. I love this polka dot top too much to be spilling out of it in a not so flattering way. “Who run the world? GIRLS!” I am determined to be the best physical me even if it I am living on the struggle bus for a while, haha. If you want to see what new healthy choices I am implementing to fix my problem areas I will be sharing these on Instatories. I say this because if you’re attempting to do be a healthier you it may just be uplifting to know you’re not alone in your journey. And I welcome ALL your helpful tips to get my younger twenty something body back.

Surgery Craze & Frenchie Goals

I am sorry I had to neglect y’all this week (trust me I don’t enjoy leaving you in the dark), but the hubs had to have surgery on his broken arm & wrist this week. I have been all in with tending to him and trying to catch a nap every now and then. Needless to say, things have been a little, ehhhh alot hectic around our house. But we are on the road to recovery now! We had have amazing support and prayers from our family and friends during this time and can’t say THANK YOU enough to these wonderful people. I am able to start getting back to the norm today which is honestly nice lol. I didn’t think I would actually enjoy sitting in traffic… ever.

This shirt says it all “For I know the plans I have for you” – Jeremiah 29:11. This verse has spoken to me more over the last few months that ever before. From the struggles of trying to become pregnant again, to Kyle unexpectedly breaking his arm & wrist and needing surgery. It can leave a person feeling totally defeated. I truly have chosen to look at it things in the opposite way. God has a much bigger and better (which who doesn’t bigger and better) plan for our family. We as a couple of bought heavenly stock in this verse because it makes us realize that in our so called defeat blossoms unbelievable gains and happiness. I came across this shirt when I really needed it the most. It was just the reassurance I needed to take my focus away from all the “goals” I was chasing and turn my focus to the one who opens all the doors for us to walk through and grab those goals! I am not trying to be on a some type of holy roller train, because Lord knows that isn’t me, haha. He knows my wine drinking, bible reading, hot mess self too well. I am just leaving you with some insight I have found that has truly helped me and my family.

Okay, Okay.. before you go thinking I am totally off my rocker I’ll explain this blog post title. You might wonder what does on God’s green earth does “Fancy Goals” even mean?! Haha, well funny you ask because this French bulldog crossbody from Supermoon in Austin, Tx just throws fuel to the fire Kyle and I have to one day add a French Bulldog to our crazy family! This cutie is far more fancy than I could ever be, just look at this too cute scarf Sir Trendy is wearing! If that doesn’t scream fancy to you I definitely don’t know what does. If you want to help a crazy dog lady out I would love any French Bulldog breeder referrals that are reasonable and reliable (NO PUPPY MILLS!). I do follow frenchy rescues, but most of the time Kyle and I aren’t able to take on the financial burden of the conditions most of those sweet souls are diagnosed with. Should things change we will most definitely be adopting! In waiting for the right time to add a little squishy face to our family, I am just to going rock this adorable little fancy pup around town. He will definitely be getting more compliments than I!

A quick side note:
This month marks my First Year of Blogging! Gracefully Sassy is my honestly my place of happiness and I couldn’t be more over the moon to share it with you daily. There will be a full blog post later on this month celebrating this, but I just wanted to pop in for a quick THANK YOU before then!!
