Do you enjoy the basics of fashion? Don’t get me wrong, I love all things with over the top sparkle, but after a long work week topped of with glammed up blog evenings, come Saturday morning I like Basic. It helps me to clear my mind and focus on the here and now. For me this all starts with what I am wearing. Also.. my husband truly enjoys when I am just basic. I think this all comes back to my outfit because it sets the tone for my overall attitude for the day. The neutral basics generally mean that I am in a care free/the happy now mood. These spring mornings we’re all basking in can be a little chilly and this sweater is like baby’s bottom soft sweater with it’s little touch of personality leaves my weekend basic look not to lifeless.

Grab you favorite tee, tattered shorts, and sandals before heading off for that morning coffee this weekend. Live in the here and now! Don’t even worry about your makeup or hair, messy buns are all too glam these days anyways 😉

The Must Have Espadrilles & The Designer Dupes

April 6, 2017

“She gets it from her momma!” My shoe obsession, that is. Obsession may even be putting it lightly, it’s seriously intense. I will always flock to any shoe section before clothing or accessories when I am out shopping. It’s like they all start singing my name in the Disney Princess Ariel voice as I walk into that area lol. I promise I am not crazy, just a shoe enthusiast! Sadly, not all of my favorite designs are in my usual budget. I can only splurge on one designer shoe per year.. AT MOST! I try to keep things under $100 because I feel that is a fair price for quality, comfort and style. This is where my espadrille story begins

If you didn’t noticed the beloved wedges of last summer well they’re just as big of a hit this summer. This all started with this gorgeous Chloe espadrille that is way far out of my budget at $690. I couldn’t rationalize that big spend, but little did I know there was a light at the end of my shoe tunnel. Marc Fisher came to the rescue with this (very) similar design the Adalyn Espadrille priced at $160! Yes, isn’t that the best deal on designer wedge dupes you have heard?! To me this was fantastic, but still a littler over what I like to spend. I knew how much of a staple these were for all spring and summer trends but, I couldn’t bring myself to purchase them last summer. Now fast forward to this spring. DSW & Steve Madden partnered to sell this Jaylen wedge at $60 that mirrors these Marc Fisher “out of my budget” beauties from last summer. With this espadrille trend still hot as ever this year, I ran to DSW to purchase these Steve Madden wedges the same week they were released! I wear them just about everyday.. never too much wedge action for this gal.

GAME CHANGER!

Marc Fisher for a limited time through Nordstrom is offering these iconic Adalyn espadrilles at $120 in color cognac. My husband may not be able to hold back my purse strings too much longer at this new deal!

DSW is offering $10 off orders of +$49 {using code NOJOKE} making these lovelies just $50. They come in three colors and I think I need black, or maybe cognac.. oh heck I NEED both lol. This deal ends at midnight tonight so run, run, run to DSW now.

Jumpsuit: Other Target Jumpsuit Favorites {cold shoulder, stripes, floral, lace up } // Earrings // Bow Mules //  Sunnies

It’s pretty safe to say that I haven’t ever met a jumpsuit I didn’t like. And to make it even worse on my bank account Target carries the cutest jumpsuits in many different styles. Grocery shopping at generally means we’re going over budget because I can’t help but snag a new suit when we go! I am big into the culotte trend. I like that it isn’t a full pant leg, but not a romper in the same. This jumpsuit is very light weight, but still good quality polyester that can be dressed up or down. If the light blue is too subtle for you, this also comes in black. TODAY using code “DRESSY” you will received 30% off of my OTS jumpsuit making is less than $21. I know, I am sure you’re already planning your lunch time errand run to the nearest Target to snag one for yourself 😉 .  Like I said earlier Target has the cutest of cute in jumpsuits so see my links above under {similar} for other favorites of mine they carry.

The husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary next month and I do believe this jumpsuit will be my road tripping attire. Its comfort is A+, and gives me all the vacation vibes! We’re only headed to Dallas, but we’re planning to do something tropical next year. Since my husband’s job has him in training for 6 months starting in June we decided to hold off on a vacation until next year. Who knows, God willing we may have a little one playing in the sand with us (no, we aren’t currently pregnant… yet lol).

White Ruffle Dress

Dress
// Bow Shoes (similar, similar, similar) // Earrings

Are you a bride to be? Or a Gal who loves spring? This dress is perfect for either of those. I remember all those wedding festivities when I was a bride 2 year ago. Sometimes I looked for a flat alternative to the usual pretty heels I would wear. These bow mules from BP at Nordstrom will CHANGE YOUR LIFE! Okay, that was over exaggerating, but yes, they’re just a comfortable as they’re cute. Ruffles and Bows are a match made in heaven in my book. And although I am no longer a bride, I think this is going to be my Easter wear in the coming weeks. If not, it will be my spring time brunch dress with the girls… or let’s just be real, BOTH because I love it that much! Should you not be into the cold shoulder trend this dress is another great ruffle dress, but at Under $15 and offered in black I don’t think you will find anything more perfect.

If I haven’t raved enough about these mules let me just tell you they’re super padded (I was shocked) to make them even more perfect for work wear. I am a lady who lives in flats at work and these beauties come in black which makes them Oh So Perfect for my Monday-Friday routine. If these are a little over budget for you, I have liked a few other similar styles above  🙂
