Do you ever find yourself feeling uninspired by “work wear”? I can honestly say that I loathe work wear shopping. You may ask why, and simply put because it’s very simple, not my fashion forward fun items that I purchase because they’re needed not wanted. Many working women purchase items they can wear to do both a date night out, as well as with a cardigan for business casual during the 9-5 work day. And if this is you, KUDDOS BABE! This isn’t something I do well. I wear slack, cardigans, and button downs to work daily. Yep, no Fashion Blogger here on my usual day, haha.

You see most of my favorite clothing purchase here on the blog, and let’s be honest with one another… generally speaking that isn’t exactly the definition of business casual. This dress changed that for me! I pair it with a long satin cami that has lace detail around the bottom to make the slits not so over the top in the office. But date night, there is no reason not to let the leg be fabulously shown. This dress inspired me to not be so close minded when work wear shopping, and I have faith that there are pieces that can do the very same for you! And to be ultra transparent with you on this.. I wear flats to work, not a heel in sight. Again, no office Cinderella here LOL! But there are some insanely fabulous mules trending right now I am intermixing into my cubicle runway, so see there are shoes that can change your whole boss babe day style. My tip for you…

Satin Date Night Top

This satin top just screams “Babe, take me out on Date Night!”. Not to mention, it will totally hide the alcohol food baby you’re likely to incur while out having fun with bae. Haha, this is a quality I like in my date night looks because let’s be real, this is a usual on the hubs and I’s date nights. I purchased this satin off the shoulder top at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and sadly it hasn’t come back in stock. I feel like I deserve a trophy for making it to Thursday this week, who’s with me?! Not to worry, Friday is just hours away. For the most part Kyle and I are going to have a quite weekend. I plan to work on blog tasks, and finish the Halloween decorations I am still behind on. Is this something you would like to see here on the blog? My Halloween décor is a mix of Dia De Los Muertos and the classic Halloween/Fall style. I feel like I found good ways to integrate the styles together. Happy Tuesday Loves! I’m sure we can all agree that yesterday was a rough morning to wake up to with the tragedy in Las Vegas. For me, I was determined for myself to wake up in a positive mood with a great outlook on life today. That brings me to this insanely amazing Treasure and Bond sweater. LOL bet ya didn’t see that one coming! The hubs thought I was absolutely insane when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale came out, because I was calling Nordstrom customer service every hour stalking this sweater this sold out what seemed like instantly when the sale went live.

Yeah… I’ll admit it, I am OBSESSED with this oversized striped sweater. Not only does it make the my fall casual days dreams come true, but it also gives back to our community. I am sure you now think I am nuts if you didn’t already think that before, haha. But seriously, the brand Treasure & Bond that is exclusively sold at Nordstrom gives 2.9% of their net sales to the YMCA! That’s a double awesome buy right there. You get a fabulous trendy sweater, all while giving back to the community! And if you aren’t sold yet.. Houston gals this sweater is perfect for our fall/winters. If you live here you totally know what I mean, you can add a long coat over it if the weather does a 360 on you one day, or style it 3 different ways

Baby Got Back & A Top Bun

Okay, let me just be as real as I can be right now. I don’t always love my curves. I play the comparison game just as much as anyone, especially in the world of blogging. I typically see other gorgeous gals that look flawless in there #ootd Instagram shot without having to worry about things like… my hips, thighs, cellulite and booty for days. And don’t for one second think I am not thankful to be who I am because I do TRULY love my curves. But I am human, and there are days when I get caught up in that game of “I wish I was that fit.” or “I wish I could wear that look so well without the added hips.”. Needless to say, my older sister is truly an inspiration to me and pulls me out of the hole when I start to fall in it. She is gorgeous, but has struggled with the very same things I have, and yet she rocks her bodysuits like there is no tomorrow. She is a total boss babe about loving her curves, and it was definitely something she has had to work at emotionally. I am on the body loving, curves ain’t going no where train.. BUT I do try everyday to be a healthy and fit person. This doesn’t mean my curves go anywhere (because they do NOT), they just become more toned and less fatty tissue based.

And before you go thinking, “I really don’t care to hear about your body imagine problems, you twig!” I’m simply just putting this out there… LOVE YOURSELF and ALLLLLL YOUR CURVES. My husband thankfully, loves my curves and influences me to love them as well. And like I said before I do love who I am, but I do have those days where I get caught up in the world of comparison. Annnnd ain’t nobody got time for that! But we do have time to dance like no one is watching while drinking more champagne than we need to. I hope the one thing you take away from this post is that even if you are slightly iffy on wearing something because you have more curves than the person who inspired you to purchase it.. go for it! You can style confidence for any season and any trend. It’s the biggest bang for your buck. I am all about comfort when it comes to my usual day to day, and even though I am slightly more hippy than this dress would like me to be, I still wear every inch of it with a smile and top bun. And if for some reason there are those who don’t agree with my body positive mindset, well… don’t let my confidence smack ya as I walk on past ya! See what I did there, hahaha.

Oversized Fall Sweater

I have been DYING to share this sweater with y’all. It’s seriously what fall sweater dreams are made of. Especially when it’s not lower than 50 degrees outside! Because we aren’t having consistently cool weather here in Houston, the hubs keeps giving me heck over trying to wear this in 85 degree weather. But I can’t help it.. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this oversized sweater! And I know some of you may be thinking “Sarah, this yellow is a bit much for me”, no worries babe because it also comes in this gorgeous ivory with the same back lace up detail. I do however suggest you size down one size to help with the perfect oversized fit.

For fall in our warmer city, this sweater is perfect to pair with your favorite denim shorts and booties. But you can always flip the script and go for a midi skirt and heels for a dressier date night look. Yep.. it’s that versatile!
